When Sofology, a furniture retailer from the north-west of England contacted us and said that they would love to work with us, we knew straight away we would.
With the well know tag line  ‘Feel at home on a sofa you love’ and Owen Wilson, the king of chill with canine friend, we knew we had found our perfect sofa match. I mean who doesn’t love ‘Marley and Me’ Now that film gets me every time if you have never watched it you’re going to need a box of tissues, a complete tear-jerker of a film.
Now back to Sofology, its there mission to make you feel at home on a sofa you love, now that’s a statement that I wanted to find out about. And this is how G&M done it.
First things first, we wanted to find someone that has given so much to our local community and truly deserved to kick back and lay on a comfy sofa at the end of the day. For us that was easy, Bianca of www.finalstrawsolent.org a champion in the fight against single-use plastics that pollute our oceans and threaten wildlife.
Final Straw Solent endlessly campaigns against single-use plastic and beach clean in all weathers. They take their passion into schools to educate our children on how important these issues are.
We booked in a visit to our nearest Sofology store and went to find out if that statement fulfilled. We were met by one of the lovely members of staff, Barry, who showed us around the store with such knowledge and passion. We knew that we were in safe hands and would find the one. The store itself was well set out, clean and inviting and the staff were so friendly, hats off to team Farnborough, you were brilliant, and we would highly recommend a visit. We tested out a lot of sofas that day which I can tell you was so much fun, staff and a couple of customers also decided that they wanted to join us out find the comfiest sofa ever that was super stylish as well.
We made our choice of the beautiful Cricket in Olive green,  with its deep seats filled with resilient foam, wrapped in super-soft Dacron fibre meaning comfort that you’ll sink into and cushions that won’t lose their shape, you just simply plump them after each use to keep them looking their best. The back is filled with cosy fibre, providing comfort like a hug when you lean back for an evening of relaxation. Perfect. The fabric choice on this sofa was exceptional you could choose from a range of colours in supple natural leather or plush, velvet fabrics to complement your home.
The seats are fully reversible which is certainly a plus for Bianca with young children and dogs you need to be able to take the cushions off to find that missing lego or hidden dog chew. What we also loved was the solid wooden feet that raised the sofa so easy to clean underneath. The sofa also includes a 20-year structural guarantee for added peace of mind. How good is that!
The delivery day has arrived and we are all so excited. The slot was actually brought forward and times were given, so again we can’t recommend Sofology enough in terms of customer service. The delivery times are between 8am and 8pm. The night before your delivery date, you can expect to receive a text or email notifying you of a 4-hour window during which the drivers will arrive. On the day the team will give you a call to confirm they are on their way to you, so you can be ready. Our delivery guys again were fantastic; friendly and helpful and the best bit, all the packaging was taken away to be recycled. The environment is incredibly important to Bianca and Sofology.
The base was unpacked and brought in by the delivery team and we were asked where we would like it to be positioned. So no heavy lifting for us. Next all the yummy cushions and then its time to relax.
So did Sofology live up to there mission of making you feel at home on a sofa you love? They certainly did and we can honestly say that the service and delivery were excellent and the sofa that we picked is exactly what we wanted and is so comfortable. Thank you Sofology and thank you team Farnborough.
