Those of you who know me will know that I love Mustard yellow – hence my part in this two person blog. I’ve been looking for the perfect mustard yellow chair to add to my living room, and I thought I’d share my search with you… There were several strong contenders and one that got away (sigh) but I think I know which I’m now saving my pennies for…
Swoon, Fitz Cocktail Chair, in primrose. £369
It’s beautiful. I love the button backed detail and the colour is just right. The icing on the case is the gorgeous velvet/velour fabric which makes it feel really luxurious. It’s not the cheapest in my search, but its the one I’m saving up for 🙂
In order to buy this you will need to create an account with Swoon but so far I’ve found that they don’t hound you on email etc, which is a nice change. You also get £20 off your first order as a new customer, so worth doing!

Made, Kolton Accent Chair in Yolk Yellow. £449
I love this chair because it is different, plus in true Made style I’d bet it is very comfortable and well made. This chair could be the accent to any room and in yellow it really stands out. A close runner up for me.. if a little more pricey.

Homesense, Ochre velour button back chair. £149
My own photo so excuse the size of the image! I LOVED this chair and should have bought it the first time I saw it. BUT I didn’t and when I went back, the two they had were both sold 🙁 Lesson learned, this chair will always be the one that got away and at a great price too… sob…
If you want this chair you’re going to have to take you chances as the stock is all different at each store. Also, they won’t let you buy a product over the phone, so if you want it you have to literally be there. My local store would also only reserve for a few hours… nevermind…

Ikea Strandmon, Skiftebo yellow Wing Chair. £179
Ikea are great for delivering style on a budget. It’s not the most luxurious chair, but for the money it is a lot of chair and the colour is great. I can really imaging nodding off in this one – it’s really practical and I love them as a pair as above.
They’re available to buy online from Ikea but unfortunately on their rather pricey delivery… so if you have a vehicle big enough and a store near you, you’re better off collecting it yourself!

Ebay, Oyster Retro Occasional Upholstered Chair in Mustard Yellow. £94.99
If I’m on a budget I do love a goon bargain from Ebay. Ideally I buy old and refresh it myself, but I spotted these on Ebay and having read some reviews and if it wasn’t for my main seating area, I think I would buy one of these!
