It’s Good Friday! Whatever you believe, I hope you get to enjoy some extra time off this weekend. In our house we’re making a bit of a song and dance about it all. We’ve all had bugs and illness lately and we’re celebrating the arrival or spring, a couple of weeks off school and a long weekend filled with CHOCOLATE!

Its fun to decorate your home with Easter treats. Its not something we’ve always done in the UK particularly. I remember making Easter bonnets at school and getting chocolate goodies from my family, I but we didn’t really celebrate Easter at home. However one of my best friends when I was growing up did celebrate Easter with her family and I always admired their ‘Easter tree’ with pretty little decorations. As soon as I had my own home I made sure we always had an easter tree and the kids love to help me make one each year.

So how can you decorate your home this year for Easter? Here are some ideas…

Bring spring inside

Some sprouting branches can make a beautiful display. Display them in a narrow necked vase to keen them neat and upright, and add decorations to the branches for the Easter effect.

Paper decorations

Last Christmas we all went made for the paper decorations and Easter is a great excuse to bring them out again! Pick the ‘Easter’ colours from your selection and there you go!

Easter Wreaths

A lovely thing to make yourself at home! There are some great tutorials out there, or you can buy a simple wreath from a craft store and accessorise it yourself. Here are some of my favourites:

Garlands

Love a garland! Easy to make and instant impact!

Have a lovely Easter!
