As the sociable season approaches (I can’t say the C work yet!) we’re starting to think about how we fit everyone in the house comfortably. Occasional chairs are great for just what they imply, an occasion! For me, they double-up as another table around the table and also another pew in the lounge.

Here are our favourite chairs that won’t break the budget of £350 and less (bar one!).

A gorgeous metal legged chair with a plush leather seat. We love it in chestnut leather and gold legs. Top end of the occasional chairs budget at £249.

Ikea Gagnet Chair

A wonderful little chair for only £70. Stylish and practical, perhaps a little more comfy with a fleece or throw.

Cox & Cox Jute String Chair

Another great little chair with lots of personality. We love the jute base on the metal frame. Just £126 on the website at the moment too!

Graham and Green Nelson Wicker Chair

I just LOVE this chair. Beautiful wicker seat on a lovely wooden frame. Fab with a fleece thrown on it.

Habitat’s Misty Chair

Misty is a stunner! Full of style and available in some lovely vibrant colours. A great way to add some mid-century style to your home.

Swoon’s Corella Chair

Back to basics, but gosh isn’t it beautiful! A classic piece and a good price at £149.

French Connection’s Leather Sling Back Chair

I had to include this beauty. A little pricey (and I’ve had to raise my price bracket to fit it in!) but such a great investment piece. It’s £495 but worth every penny!
