Every home reflects something about the personality of its owner. The choreography of things with colour and light, all unique, never the same. My home will likely never be the most Instagrammed or the most shared, but its home to me and the things in it are relevant and mean something; they make it mine. Ours. Home. Recently I came across a brand that offers so many lovely things that are ‘different’ and non-mass market. Introducing Curious Egg.
Curious Egg is committed to ‘Art first interiors’. Founded by artist Lorriane Aaron and her husband Roddy, the mission was to bring art and interiors together in a relaxed and imaginative way by offering a small, carefully curated and ever-changing range of beautiful and interesting products that will help you to craft your home and celebrate your individuality. Sounds perfect!
I was first struck by their range of wallpapers including a textured range and also some beautiful murals. With a focus on the more artistic design styles, you’ll definitely find something different here whether it’s for a living room, office or event children’s room – I particularly like the star charts and have my eye on one of them for my youngest’s bedroom next year.
I can never have enough cushions, but I was on a specific hunt for something to suit my lounge. Having fallen out of love with velvet, mainly for its tendency to grab 30% of the dog every time she walked past, I was looking for something textured to suit my oriental vibe and to bring a modern edge to the room. I was spoilt for choice at Curious Egg. From printed cushions to Berber bolsters, there were genuinely lots of designs and styles that I loved and hadn’t seen in other stores.
I picked two cushions for my home. The first was a stunning Berber cushion with tassels which gets lots of compliments. The other is an art cushion that introduced a splash of green to match the plants in the room. Love it.
Here are some of my favourite items available from Curious Egg. Well worth a visit!
