Moody Blue Interiors
Lets start of by looking at the trend that came storming into everyones minds last year. For designers and those in the know its been on the horizon for a while. The plunge into the dark side is happening in people homes and dark blue interiors is hot, mixed with golds and greens, its making a statement in our homes. As ever we are embracing the trend and wanting to see how its done.
First of all, paint. Glup. Thats when you start to feel a slight panic setting in. Do I dare go dark? What if I don’t like it? Lets get some sample pots on the go to see what suits your room best. Go and purchase some thick card, preferably A3 or bigger, and paint them with your sample pots. This way you can move the sample cards around the room to see what they look like in all the different lights. I always have at least three cards at a time and I leave them around to see what your eye is drawn to. Live with it for a while, don’t rush!
Who wouldn’t want a room like this? Blue velvet sofa, gorgeous round mirror, sheep skin rug for texture and a mix of house plants. That’s your check list for an on trend living room!Â
