Yesterday I escaped to Brighton for the day and dragged my poor husband around the many interior delights that the town has to offer. Brighton is one of those where you know you’re going to find both the ultra trendy and the slightly quirky eclectic delight – and it did not disappoint.

My guide to Brighton Interior Shops

So if you’re planning a trip, here’s where I recommend you drop into for a browse, pick up a bargain or buy that show stopping statement piece.

Brighton Interiors Shops

Moderne

30a Upper St James’s St, Brighton | www.modernebrighton.com

We started off in Kemptown and the first on the list was a fabulous mid century inspired boutique called ‘Moderne’. If you love all thing mid century definitely make a plan to visit. The owner, Dan, collects vintage pieces from the continent and refurbishes and restores them before displaying them in his lovely shop. There were so many things to love. My favourite items were the brass swan glass-topped tables and definitely the gold palm tree lights – just fab. I also adored the danish sofa bead lovingly recovered in a gorgeous blue tweed.

Brighton Flea Market

31a Upper St James’s St, Brighton | www.flea-markets.co.uk

Some amazing find in here – if you love a vintage teak piece that isn’t budget breaking, definitely give it a try. I picked up a lovely retro egg lamp and some fab reproduction botanical posters, 3 for £10. I also fell in love with a faux cactus that was 5ft high but a little out of my budget for the day. Two floors of lovely finds – give it a go!

Metro Deco

St James’ Street, Brighton

Looked amazing from outside but unfortunately shut when we were passing. Lots of lovely vintage pieces and also some modern items too.

Heals

1-2 Duke St, Brighton | www.heals.com

Well I think its actually illegal to pass one by without dropping in. Arranged over 4 floors they cram a lot into this store! Lots of lovely lighting on the ground floor and furniture upstairs.

Home Sense

1&3, The Quadrant, Brighton | www.homesense.com

Again, you just have to go in! They always seem to have something I want and yesterday it was a green flocked chicken. Yes you heard me right. I don’t know why, I just had to have it. No even just for Easter!

Brighton Architectural Salvage

33-34 Gloucester Road, Brighton

One of those shops that are always worth a trawl. You might find something amazing to take home and treasure.

Digs

87 Gloucester Rd, Brighton | www.digsign.co.uk

Oh wow, Digs. I could have purchased everything. From vintage lights and furniture to a wide range of taxidermy and objet d’art. If you don’t like stuffed animals though, maybe give it a miss…

Vine Street Vintage

Gloucester Rd, Brighton

This lady know her stuff. She has a wonderful array of beautiful vintage items sourced from Italy, France and beyond. Arranged over two floors there’s plenty to see and fall in love with. I really wanted the drop lights, the floor lamp, the hall tidy, the sofas, oh basically everything…

Snooper’s Paradise

7/8 Kensington Gardens, North Laine, Brighton

I’m not sure a trip to Brighton is ever complete without a visit to Snooper’s Paradise. Its an arcade of lots of smaller shops and collectors selling their wares. There’s some very random stuff and some nice craft finds too. I found a vintage floor lamps that was reasonably priced and some lovely kitch items to liven up a shelf.

Enjoy your trip to Brighton!
