Autumn Dining with Handmade Crockery and Linen
As we move into the social season we’ve been thinking about tableware and table dressings for dining. Out with the plain white plates and steel cutlery, in with beautiful hand made crockery, shiny golden cutlery and the finest linen table coverings and napkins.
My marble table has been feeling a little abandoned lately so we thought it was time to invite over some friends and dress it up to the nines. I also brought in some of my favourite pampass grasses to add some texture.
I love cut glass at the moment. I have a collection of gin glasses and tumblers in similar styles. They catch the light beautifully.
My crockery is from Habitat, a mix of Nona and Otto in rich blue/grey and pinks, which compliment the marble table beautifully. I love the layer them up and mix-and-match when theres only a few of us. They look fab with the linen texture and the gold cutlery.
The linen is a gift from Piglet in Bed. I’m so impressed with the quality of the napkins and tablecloth; they have such a wonderful depth of colour and are nice and think so actually useful as a napkin. They washed beautifully too without requiring the iron to come out.
My gold cutlery was a bargain find at Home Sense. I bought two sets and we’ve been using them for a few weeks and I’m glad to see the colour has stayed strong.
