Divine is most definitely the word
Sometimes you receive an invitation that you just cannot turn down. This was one of those invitations. Cancel that meeting, move that one, we’re going to London to visit the home of the Divine Savages. I’m so glad we did.
The personalities of Jamie and Tom shine out of every single inch of their South East London home. A perfect partnership, the husbands launched Divine Savages in 2017 after Tom reached a crossroad in his career. Previously working in fashion, Tom is the creative genius of Divine Savages and Jamie is the business know-how that has steered them to where they are today.
We were invited to attend the launch of their new collection in collaboration with the Natural History Museum and we jumped at the chance to visit their home (and of course see the new collection for ourselves – see separate blog post here!!)
The tour started in the main bedroom where the boys have decorated the walls in their beautiful Nocturnal Faunacation wallpaper. The colour-matched panelling and furniture creates a sophisticated vibe that is really atmospheric. Throughout the house are treasures and objet d’art that the couple has collected over the years. Their love of the natural world is a key theme throughout.
The custom-made light shades feature fabric from the collection. These are now available for all collections, on request.
Not for everyone we know, but for the Jamie and Tom its an appreciation of nature and items are antiques, not modern.
The hallway is decorated in Middleton Pink by Farrow and Ball. It has a lovely warming tone in a small space and sets off the floral carpet beautifully. More collections of objects in the hallway, including dinosaur figurines and Chinese waving lucky cats displayed on beautiful mid-century teak furniture. We love it!
We then convened in the kitchen-diner to flick through the samples from the new wallpaper collections. The walls feature their own wallpaper, Crane Fonder in Coral.
The detail is everything to these boys. The new wallpaper range is available in a heavier, textured paper that gives it a really authentic vintage feel. We’d definitely go for this, it’s beautiful!

The finale was the stunning living room, painting in a deep blue. More Objet d’art including paintings sources everywhere from charity shops to antique fairs. The peacock was a purchase made by Tom to remember an Aunt – again really personal and very unique!
Tony the tiger is one of the first things I remember from when we first found Divine Savages. I liked him so much I went out and purchased my own. It was a mission at the time as they weren’t so popular, but I always associate him with the boys interior style.
Tom works from their home – and who wouldn’t, it’s certainly an inspiring space! However, they are just installing a garden office to provide more space and a degree of separation between home and work.

The feature wall is decorated in Deco Martini in teal, another from the Divine Savage back catalogue. Mixed vintage furniture, some of which have been upholstered in their own range of fabrics.
Even the downstairs loo has character!
We really enjoyed being nosey at the Divine Savage home. Thank you, boys, for the invite, we loved every moment!
